From Petroleum to Pixels: My Path to SEO
Hi, I’m Krystel Shayne Lantano, an SEO expert, proud single mom to a curious 3-year-old, and a passionate advocate for helping businesses thrive online. I come from the humble farming town of Lupao, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, where I learned the value of resilience, hard work, and perseverance—traits that continue to guide my professional journey.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, and my career began in 2018 as an Operations Assistant at an oil terminal in Batangas. My role involved ensuring timely and efficient fuel deliveries to gasoline stations across South Luzon. It was a fast-paced environment where precision, problem-solving, and effective communication were essential.
In 2019, I transitioned into the field of market research as an Analyst for a US-based global industrial market intelligence provider. I specialized in analyzing data on industrial assets, projects, and contracts, assisting contractors in identifying lucrative bidding opportunities. This role honed my research skills and attention to detail, which now play a crucial role in my SEO strategies.
By 2021, I had ventured into content creation, working as a freelance writer for a US skincare brand. Crafting engaging and informative content allowed me to explore the creative side of marketing while building a strong foundation in digital strategies.
In 2024, I decided to upskill and focus on SEO, combining my analytical expertise, technical knowledge, and content experience to help businesses enhance their online presence. Whether it’s through keyword research, technical optimizations, or content strategies, I thrive on delivering measurable results that help brands grow.
Outside of work, I’m inspired by my role as a mom, which has taught me adaptability, perseverance, and a deep appreciation for every success, no matter how small.
